Thermal and Flocculation Properties of Acacia Gum Grafted with Cationic Polyacrylamide

Acacia gum (AG) was grafted with polyacrylamides different catonic ratios obtained by using amounts of acrylamide (AM) and methacrylatoethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC (cationic monomer)). The thermal properties these products were investigated differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermogravimetric (TGA) analyses. formation confirmed FTIR spectroscopy analysis. effects cationic polyacrylamide on flocculation evaluated. Flocculation performance evaluated in kaolin suspension.
